After selecting your Diablo 4 character and starting the game, you might see a loading screen with the “QUEUED FOR GAME – START GAME PENDING…” notice. This is not an error but a login queue message. It means that you are waiting in line to enter the game server, which is experiencing more traffic than it can handle. The message may appear when many players are trying to play Diablo 4 at the same time, such as during launch, on a weekend evening, or at a game event.
How to deal with it?
This is an error on your computer but a problem caused by the incompetency of Blizzard’s server. There is no official fix for the issue, as it depends on the server’s capacity and demand. The best thing you can do are:
- Wait patiently until your turn comes.
- Make sure your internet connection is stable and fast enough, and stop downloading other things in the background.
If you press the Cancel
button, exit the game, or lose connection, you may have to start from the back of the queue (your previously waiting effort will be lost). The queue times may vary depending on the server and region, but they are usually shorter than a few hours.
Diablo 4 is a pretty expensive game (from $69 to $99), and a lot of players don’t play in co-op mode but play solo only. They are very infuriated and angry that Diablo 4 does not support offline play as other popular RPGs like Elden Ring or Dark Souls.
